Dr. Sommers or "Mr. Marlin" as he is known in class is the Director of  Education and the high-school supervisor.  He has been trained in carpentry and philosophy (PHd University of Tennessee Knoxville.) In addition to Starr Mountain Academy he serves with Anabaptist Perspectives. Marlin and his wife Meredith and thier 5 children are part of Wellspring Mennonite church in Athens, TN.
